Youth Peer Mentors

We are currently recruiting for young volunteers to take on the role of Peer Mentors to other young people who could benefit from someone to provide a person to listen, offer friendly support and help them explore opportunities and barriers in their life.

Are you aged 17-25?
Do you have an interest in volunteering to support young people?
Are you looking for some valuable work experience for your CV?
Do you want to gain a regionally recognised accreditation?

If you answer YES to these questions, then peer mentoring is for you!

What’s involved?

Young people are referred to us for many reasons and the support you will provide will be on a one-to-one basis in the community. You will meet once a week for between one and three hours and work towards achievable goals to help those young people to get back on track within certain aspects of their lives.

Examples of support vary from taking part in activities in order to meet new friends and build confidence, to helping them explore and access further education opportunities. Or mentees may just appreciate having someone to talk to.
