How we can help Helping Parents and Families Understanding your teen Understanding your teen Being a parent or carer of a teenager is both rewarding and sometimes challenging! Teenagers go through such physical, emotional and cognitive changes during their Teens. In fact, other than when they were a baby, this is the only other age when their brain goes through so much change. So we have developed specialist support to help parents and young people navigate this teenage years. Today’s Teens - This programme will help you recognise exactly what your teenager is going through and how can you understand them better. Topics covered in the programme include understanding teenage brain development, how to maintain a healthy relationship with your teenager, looking after their and your mental health and wellbeing. The programme will work with you and where appropriate your teenager to better understand each other and how best to communicate. We also work with children who are not yet teens in our Tomorrow's Teens programme. Get in touch if you would like to find out more about this work.
