An exciting opportunity has arisen for a retail manager to locate, open and establish Children North East's first ever charity superstore.

Would you relish the chance to plan, develop and manage all store activities and create an ambience that delivers a great experience for customers, donors and volunteers alike? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

You should be comfortable working under pressure and towards set targets whilst maximising the store's financial contribution to the charity.

The role will be varied, busy and will provide the opportunity to work with others. You will be commercially aware, hands-on and have an eye for detail as well as being creative, driven and well-organised.

We're looking for someone to put outstanding customer service into the heart of the shopping experience, both for shoppers and donors.

You will also have the passion and leadership skills to motivate a team of volunteers in order to maximise profits and help us raise the funds we need to support the charity's brilliant work.

Salary: £26,683 - £29,288

Hours: The post is full time with a normal working week of 37 hours. Due to the varied nature of the duties, a flexible approach will be required and will include evenings and weekends. Time off in lieu may be taken following agreement of the line manager.
