Tell us a bit about yourself

After studying at both Sheffield Hallam and the University of KwaZulu Natal in South Africa, I have been part of an international children’s charity in Newcastle for 13 years, working my way up to being Chief Executive.

I’m also a governor at my local primary school as well as sitting on the board of International Newcastle.

How do you feel about the north east?

Growing up in the north east, my love for it made sure I came back after heading away to study.

Why have you chosen to be a Trustee of Children North East?

Having grown up in the north east, I’m particularly interested in the excellent work that the charity does to build the confidence and aspirations of young people in the region.

What’s your favourite place in the north east?

Sitting on the steps of the monument, people watching or sat outside on the quayside in the summer.
