Jeremy has been our Chief Executive since 2009.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I have been a children’s social worker and manager for over 40 years in voluntary organisations and local authorities. I joined Children North East as Chief Executive in 2009.  Without doubt being Chief Executive of this wonderful charity has been the best job of my career.

How do you spend your time outside of work?

My family is very important to me.  I enjoy choral singing and in my spare time I sing tenor in a big choral society. I'm also a bit of an amateur landscape artist.

What is one of your biggest life goals?

I dream of having a painting chosen for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and (slightly more realistically) to drive down the Champs Elysees in an open top sports car.
