Children North East has been providing life changing services for children and young people in our region since 1891.

The charity has strong finances with income from contracts, grants, sold services, fundraising and a long term relationship with the People’s Postcode Lottery. We expect to report a substantial surplus at the end of the current year on 31st March 2018. We are looking for a trustee with experience of financial management at a senior level to work with the board and senior managers to maximise our financial assets for the benefit of our beneficiaries - children and young people. This includes an investment portfolio; ownership of two buildings and a small but growing trading subsidiary.

This is an exciting moment to join Children North East as we rebrand and launch an online platform which will provide services to parents and young people and engage many as supporters.

The board consists of up to 12 trustees from a wide range of professional backgrounds, ages and skills with a majority of women.

For more information please phone 0191 256 2444 and ask to speak to Jeremy Cripps, Chief Executive.

To express interest in this role please send your CV to [email protected]

We are committed to safeguarding children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  All staff and volunteers will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Children North East welcomes a diverse range of applications.
