Sometimes it can be a struggle to develop a bond with your baby even before the baby is here, during pregnancy.  Our NEWPIP service based in Newcastle is here to help.

NEWPIP is a psychotherapeutic service to help you and your baby (up to two years old) develop a healthy relationship.  We can work with you if you are a mother, father, grandparent, foster carer or adoptive parent.

Our expert and welcoming team will work closely with you and your family to achieve the very best for you, your baby and family.

Mother and baby

Grace was helped by our Parent Infant Psychotherapy Service and told us about the struggles she had after the birth of her second child.

"Getting out of bed felt like standing at the bottom of a mountain that I didn’t have the energy to climb and when the boys woke up and started calling for me I just wanted to run away.  A simple task like making tea felt like the hardest task in the world."

When I heard about NEWPIP, I liked the fact that it focused on the mother, baby and the relationship.  I felt that this place would be beneficial to me.
